About RCABC
Even if you have not heard of the Roofing Contractors Association of British Columbia (RCABC), there is an excellent chance that you’re sitting under the work of one of our members. Currently, RCABC members and their well-trained and highly skilled employees install three out of every four roofs in the commercial, industrial and institutional sectors. Members of the Association are also very active in the residential sector. Only roofs built by RCABC members can be protected by the RCABC guarantee program.
RCABC is an association of professional roofing contractors, manufacturers and suppliers who are dedicated to the promotion and protection of the public’s interests in everything that relates to roofing.
The Association ensures that members have access to information on the latest advances in the industry, both on current roofing practices and on today’s materials. The membership criteria ensure that all members of RCABC meet or exceed our code of ethics and professionalism. RCABC contractors, manufacturers and suppliers must participate in a program of continuous professional development regarding new materials and roofing techniques.
RCABC members provide a valuable service to the industry by advising manufacturers and suppliers, regulatory agencies, and the public at large about their field observations relating to both roofing materials and contracting services.
RCABC members are uniquely qualified to educate all the stakeholders in roofing, from the shingle mill to the home or building owner. They know the roofing materials, best products and the most practical applications for all regions of the province. Members of RCABC know all of the day-to-day issues relating to the roofing industry.
The RCABC is affiliated with the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association, the National Roofing Contractors Association and the Western States Roofing Contractors Association in the USA. We are a roofing issues advocacy group on behalf of our members, the industry, and the general public. We participate on advisory committees for numerous construction industry and government advisory agencies.
RCABC members are constantly working to ensure that the public are well served by the industry. The roofing contractors, manufacturers and suppliers of RCABC take a great deal of pride in building solid and dependable roofs whether they are for warehouses, shopping malls, schools or residential use. RCABC members are working hard to ensure that the only thing that ends up over your head when you seek advice or information on roofing is an RCABC roof.
