We’re Having a Big Party!
|
At the Annual General Meeting in 2007, RCABC proudly launched into its 50th Anniversary year. We would like to invite you to join in the celebration in June, 2008. We are very honoured to have Mr. Rick Hansen join us as our keynote luncheon speaker. The “Man in Motion” will tell his story of courage and determination, which continues long after he completed the 40,000 km world tour that he began in 1985. This is one man who has truly made a difference in our world. We invite you to come and be inspired. Following the luncheon, a presentation of various Olympic venues is planned. These unique facilities are scheduled to be completed prior to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. These buildings will serve as legacies for the people of British Columbia post 2010. Architects will be on hand to describe the unique design aspects of these buildings which will protect the land, water and air surrounding the projects. In the evening, come aboard the MV Britannia, Vancouver’s largest privately owned charter vessel, with three spacious decks and two hardwood dance floors. Enjoy a three hour leisurely cruise past the downtown skyline, the cruise ship terminal of Canada Place, the Mountains behind the North Shore, the West Vancouver shoreline and more. Take in the sights and sounds of the city as you enjoy live music and delicious West Coast- themed cuisine. You'll have the best spot in Vancouver to watch the sun slowly disappear into the Pacific Ocean in true West Coast style. Hit the links at Northview Golf & Country Club, the former PGA Tour Championship Course, designed by Arnold Palmer! There will also be a choice of a Winery Tour or Artist Workshop for those who prefer not to golf. Don’t sneak out of town before the Presidents’ Ball! We have headline entertainment that will knock your socks off! Brent Butt from “Corner Gas” and Randy Bachman will be joining us for the evening! Come and join us in beautiful British Columbia! |
This year's hotel venue is the Weston Resort & Marina which overlooks beautiful Vancouver Harbour and Stanley Park.
Be inspired by keynote speaker Rick Hansen, then laugh along with Canadian Brett Butt of "Corner Gas" fame. |
